Abstract:Photocatalytic technology has attracted widespread attention in recent years due to its eco-friendly nature of utilizing solar energy to degrade organic pollutants. The development of excellent photo-catalysts has important research value and practical significance for the efficient degradation of organic pol-lutants.BiOCl/BiOBr heterojunction photocatalytic materials were prepared by one-step solvothermal method with bismuth nitrate pentahydrate, sodium chloride and potassium bromide as the main reagents and ethylene glycol as the solvent. The morphology, phase composition, surface chemical states and pho-tocatalytic properties of the samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffrac-tion,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV-vis diffuse reflection. The study investigated the impact of the molar ratio of BiOCl to BiOBr on the photocatalytic performance of the material. The results showed that when the molar ratio of BiOCl and BiOBr was 2∶8,the visible light catalytic degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB)by BiOCl/BiOBr heterojunction photocatalytic material was the best, reaching 96.3%after 35 min light irradiation. The free radical trapping experiment found that·O2-and h+played domi-nant roles in the degradation of RhB,and the S-scheme photocatalytic mechanism was proposed.
