Abstract:In this paper,a low-loss electrode is designed and optimized based on a PIN photodetector with a micro-pore and slot structure. This method not only provides an effective solution for the experimental preparation of low-loss electrodes, but also further improves the 3 dB bandwidth of the photodetector.Firstly,by optimizing the electrode substrate and thickness, introducing insulation layer, adding metal material and adding rectangular groove structure in the substrate,a new type of low-loss photodetector e-lectrode is designed, and its transmission loss is reduced to-1.15 dB.Then, the new electrode and the e-quivalent circuit of the PIN photodetector are designed and optimized. The results show that the 3 dB bandwidth of the photodetector is improved by nearly 32%compared with the non-use of the new elec-trode.The new electrode can be used as a reference for improving the performance of optical detectors with different structures and different bands.
