Abstract:Photocatalytic fuel cell(PFC)is a new type of device that can effectively convert chemical ener-gy generated from the photocatalytic process into electrical energy.A new type of multifunctional double-chamber photocatalytic fuel cell was designed and optimized with SiC quantum dots sensitized graphite phase C3N4(g-C3N4)as the photoanode material. When Fenton reaction was introduced into the cathode chamber as the coreaction, the composite photoanode exhibited an excellent photocatalytic and photoelec-tric conversion performance, and the reaction rates in both chambers were significantly increased, which thereby significantly improved the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the PFC system.
