Abstract：The importance of water is self‐evident ,as well as water also has the pivotal status in the city square .As the quantity and quality of urban plazas improved increasingly year by year ,higher re‐quirements of the water in the city square landscape are put forward .In this paper ,in term of the nowa‐days problems of city square in the aspect of water landscape ,design key points that should be paid at‐tention to the design process ,to help city square construction better .
