The Formation of Rock Streams in the Top of Mountain Tai

Abstract：The rock stream is one of the most famous geological remains in Mountain Tai National Geological Park .Many geography enthusiasts are attracted by the process of its formation ,which is still disputed .By field research ,the formation of the rock stream was analyzed in this paper .It is the joints or cracks developed in the rock that makes it easy to break the rock into pieces .The climate on the top of Mountain Tai is the driving forces to break the rock apart by frost wedging .The gentler slopes in the north of Mountain Tai and the special structure of landforms in Houshiwu area make it possible for the rock streams to form and reserve .
