Abstract：Diatom study on ancient environment reconstruction has important practical significance . We analysis of the main environmental factors those affect the grow th of diatoms ,such as temperature , nutrients and vegetation ,and w hat the lakes diatom in reconstruction of the ancient environment re‐search progress of the application combine with experts and scholars research is discussed in detail .At the same time ,aiming at the deficiency exist in the course of the research on w e conducted certain dis‐cussion ,w hich for later in the development and perfection of lakes diatom research to provide certain theoretical basis .
