Synthesis and Crystal Structures of the Diphenyltin (Ⅳ) Salicylaldehyde Thiophene-2-Carboxylic Hydrazone

Abstract：A new diphenyltin (Ⅳ) compound with Schiff base of salicylaldehyde thiophene-2-carboxylic hydrazone Ph2Sn (C12 H8N2O2S ) was synthesized by the reaction of PhsSnCl with salicylaldehyde thiophene-2-carboxylic hydrazone. This compound has been characterized by elemental,IR,1H NMR analyses and X-ray crystallographic diffraction analyses. The compound is a monomer in which the tin atom adopts five-coordinated in distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry.
