Abstract:One new complex of { [Pr (pdc) (Hpdc) (OH2)2] · 3H2O }n (1) (H2pdc, 2,6-pyridine-dicardine-dicarboxylic acid, and characterized by X-ray analysis, IR, UV/VIS. Crystal data for 1:PrC14H19N2O14,Mr=562.22,monoclinic,P2(1)/c,a=14. 113 8(3) ,b=11. 226 5(2) ,c=12. 955 8(2) A ,β=101.929 0(2)°,Z=4,V=200 8(0)A3,F(000)=1 076,Dc=1. 919 Mg/m-3,T=293(2)K,μ(Mo-Kα)=25.00cm-1,λ(Mo-Kα) = 0. 710 73A. The structure was refined to R= 0. 029 9 and wR = 0. 086 1 (unit weights) for 3 499 observed reflections (I>2σ(Ⅰ)). The coordination environment of Pr(Ⅲ) ion in the title complex is of nine-coordination, besides chelating ligands of Hpdc-and pdc2-and two associated water molecules,further being linked by syn-anti carboxylate group of Hpdc-to form a polymeric chain.
