Abstract:Aiming at the problems of high gas content in 15108 fully mechanized caving face in Mabu Mine, large gas outflow in the adjacent coal seam and the gas overrun in the working face, the UDEC numerical simulation method was used to study the evolution law of the overburden rock fissures of the fully mechanized caving face and determine the gas abundant zone in the gob. Based on this, the gas drainage technologies by large-diameter long boreholes, traditional cross boreholes in the seam and pipe plug-in in the gob were put forward. The site application indicated that the use of large-diameter long boreholes can realized the efficient drainage of the pressure-released gas in the fractured zone, the gas drainage rate in the working face reached 71. 39%, 681000 tons of raw coal were safely and efficiently mined and 5. 05 million cubic meters of gas were extracted, the co-extraction of coal and gas was thus achieved.
