Adjustment Demonstration and Application of First-mining Seam of Outburst Coal Seam Group in Xinglong Coal Mine

Abstract：In the mining and excavation process of the first-mining seam - No. 5 seam in Xinglong Coal Mine, some problems appeared such as the unstable occurrence of coal seams, high coal-seam gas content, slow driving speed, very tense mining-excavation replacement and so on, and in the mining of the protected seam - No. 8 seam, the phenomenon of the regional verification index K1 value beyond the standard and gas concentration overrun appeared several times. To counter to these problems, demonstration was carried out on the mining of the protective seam of the outburst coal seam group from the aspects of the selection of protective seams, the regional gas control, the mining conditions and so on, it was decided that adjusting the first-mining seam-No. 5 seam into No. 12 seam was feasible. The practice proved that taking No. 12 seam as the mining of protective seam effectively relieved the problem of the tense mining-excavation replacement and realized the effective gas control and safe and efficient production of the mine.
