Comparative Study on Application of High-pressure Spray and Foam Dust Removal Technology in Fully Mechanized Heading Face

Abstract：To counter to the situation of high dust concentration and difficult dust control in 2501 fully mechanized heading face in Xinqiao Coal Mine, comparative study was carried out on dust removal technology by high-pressure water spray and foam in this face. The paper introduced the dust suppression mechanism of the dust removal technology by high-pressure water spray and foam, the system composition and the site arrangement of equipment. It was found from the site application that the dust removal technology by foam had stronger adoptability, low one-time investment and better dust removal effect and was more suitable for dust removal in 2501 fully mechanized heading face.
