Abstract:In view of the problem of frequent occurrence of strata behaviors in the initial mining stage of 25010 fully mechanized caving face in Huating Coal Mine, simulation study was carried out on the mining process of this working face with FLAC3D numerical simulation software in order to ascertain the causes of strata behaviors and guide the prevention and control work of mine strata behaviors. The analysis indicated that the incomplete roof caving near the working face and the multiple stress superposition in the face were the main causes of the frequent occurrence of strata behaviors in this area, and the distribution regularity of the high stress area in the mining process of this working face was that the stress mainly concentrated in the range from 20 m to 70 m in front of 250105 working face and gradually increased with the working face advance, a high stress concentration zone existed in the rock mass above the air-return way adjacent to the gob and widely distributed, the stress weakened from the side of air-return way to the side of haulage way; and the main cause of the stress concentration in the surrounding rock mass was the incomplete caving of the roof near 250103 working face and the mining of this face intensified this phenomenon.
