Experimental Study of Using Silicon Modified Coagulant for Mine Wastewater Treatment
ZHOU Hongxing
Abstract:To counter to the water quality characteristics of high hardness and high content of SO2-4 in mine production wastewater, silicon-modified ploy ferric chloride Si-PFC was prepared through the modification of PFC in the laboratory. By using the single factor analysis method, contrast analysis was made on the dosage, temperature and pH value of the coagulant, and the optimum coagulation reaction conditions of PFC and Si-PFC were determined. The coagulation experiments of coal mine wastewater showed that the mine wastewater treatment effect with Si-PFC coagulant was better than that of PFC coagulant;when the temperature was 25℃, pH value was 7. 5 and the dosage of Si-PFC coagulant was 30 mg/L, the mine wastewater treatment effect with Si-PFC coagulant was the best, the removal rate of SO2-4 and total hardness reaches 65% and 56% respectively.
