Abstract:Through the experimental study of the physical and chemical properties of the phenol formaldehyde resin which was compounded under different reaction conditions, it was found that the viscosity, solids content and hydroxyl-methyl index of the phenol formaldehyde resin gradually increased with the rise of the reaction temperature, the time extension and the increase of the dosage of catalyst, and the free formaldehyde and free phenol in phenol formaldehyde resin decreased;the best synthesis conditions for the resin foaming were 20 g catalyst solution of 20% content, the reaction temperature of 75 ℃ and the reaction time of 3 h, the performance indicators of the resin were the viscosity of 2 250 mPa·s, the solids content of 76. 5%, the pH value of 8. 19, the free formaldehyde content of 1. 73%, the free phenol content of 8. 89%, the gel time of 28. 76 s and the hydroxyl-methyl index of 1. 51.
