Abstract:In order to provide theoretical guidance for the safe mining of the lower coal group, demonstration analysis was made on the water-resisting property of the rock stratum on the top of the Ordovician system based on the theory that the water-resisting layers existed on the top of the Ordoviciansystem in North China. Analysis was carried out on the structural characteristics and the karst fissure development of the top strata of the Ordovician system according to the geological drilling data of Ordovician system, the hydro-geologic tests and borehole logging data. Based on water yield from boreholes in the process of water discharging tests in Ordovician water-resisting layers and through repeated comparison and verification of the logging data, the thickness of the water-resisting layer on the top of the Ordovician system was determined. This research result has reference significance for the safe mining of the lower coal group under high water pressure in Dongtan Mine, can be used to accurately evaluate the Ordovician floor water-inrush risk and provide reference for the water hazard prevention during the mining of the lower coal group.
