A Mine Emergency Management Information System Based on GIS

Abstract：A visualized mine emergency management information system was developed based on GIS in order to realize the collaborative and efficient mine emergency rescue and the seamless joint between the disaster site,the rescue command center and the emergency resource dispatches,and study was made on the functions of the system and the approach to its realization. With GIS technology,this system merged a variety of technologies including the location,communication,navigation,network and database together,realized the multiple collaborative rescue, the whole tracking and visualization monitoring of the rescue and dispatch process on the electronic maps,the emergency response speed and the assistant decision-making ability were thus improved.
