Abstract：The theoretical analysis indicated that the gas emission in the heading face was mainly affected by the gas content and the Physic-mechanical ProPerties of coal. In this PaPer,study was carried out on the significant differences of the same coal, different gas Pressure,different Particle size and different mechanical ProPerties of coal in the Process of gas desorPtion through the coal samPle desorPtion exPeriments in the laboratory,it Pointed out that the characteristic indicators α of gas desorPtion can better reflect the change of the gas Pressure and Physic-mechanical ProPerties of coal. The reliability of using the characteristic indicatorsα of gas desorPtion to Predict coal and gas outburst hazard was verified by the site examPles.
