Analysis on Ability of Using Ground Transient Electromagnetic Technology to Detect Coal Mine Water Disaster
XU Yangcheng
Abstract:In the actual transient electromagnetic detection, it has a certain limitation to take the detection depth as an only condition for measuring the detection ability of the transient electromagnetic instrument to the objective water body. This paper analyzed the necessary conditions for judging the detection ability of the transient electromagnetic system, and calculated out the secondary induction voltage of the earth-contained and no earth-contained objective water bodies according to parameters of the instrument and the objective water body and with the three-dimensional finite difference method; in combination with the background noise, it calculated out the effective detection time; through the comparison of the magnitude of the instrument ’ s resolution and the absolute difference of induced voltage in the effective detection time, the judgment can be made whether or not the instrument could differentiate the objective water body. Analysis was made with this method on the detection ability of EMRS-3 transient electromagnetic instrument to the models of water-filled collapse column, roadway, gob and strata, and the correctness of this method was verified.
