Analysis on Formation Condition of Water in Roof Bed Separation in Fully Mechanized Face of Extra-thick Seam and Evaluation of Its Risk

Abstract：Based on the exploration results of an extraordinary separation-bed water inrush accident occurred in 745 working face of Haizi Coal Mine, theoretical analysis was made on the main formation conditions of water in bed separation, including the“cavity-type” bed separation,“waterlogged” bed separation and the source of make-up water. Combined with the concrete cases and based on the formation condition of water in bed separation, preliminary discrimination was conducted on the water inrush risk in roof bed separation of the fully mechanized face in extra-thick coal seam, and the discriminant result accorded with the actual one. All of these can provide basis for the exploration and control of water in bed separation.
