Abstract:Based on the analysis of permeability increasing mechanism by hydraulic fracturing of coal seams and in accordance with the geologic conditions in Wuyang Coal Mine, the hydraulic fracturing technology and parameters suitable for coal seams in this mine were determined by site tests. After hydraulic fracturing, the average gas drainage concentration and the average pure gas drainage volume in the influence radius of permeability increase respectively increased by 2. 3 and 2. 6 times as compared with the origins, and the average water content of the coal seam increased by 1. 78 times. The permeability increasing radius was determined as 20 m to 25 m by measuring the pure gas drainage volume and concentration from boreholes and the water content of coal seams. The scope of the coal seam wetted by hydraulic fracturing was slightly larger than that of the permeability increasing by hydraulic fracturing.
