Abstract:In this paper, study was made on the mechanical behavior of surrounding rock of the roadway in red soil with two different support patterns of floor arch and inverted arch in a mine by using FLAC simulation analysis method, and the systematic analysis was carried out on the change of the stress, displacement and plastic zone of surrounding rock in different support patterns. The research results showed that the deformation of floor heave was 50mm after the inverted arch support pattern was adopted for the roadway and the roof convergence at the monitoring point was 50mm, which were all about one-ninth of that with floor arch support pattern;the vertical rheological rate of floor was 8. 64mm/d, which was one-third of that with floor arch support pattern;and the maximum stress decreased significantly. The application of inverted arch support technology greatly improved the strength and load-carrying ability of the surrounding rock and made the floor deformation and expansion of the roadway in soft rock under effective control.
