Abstract:Part of coal resources in a mine in Yanzhou Coal Mining Area is under the river and coal is extracted by slice mining. In order to improve the upper limit of coal mining, the height of the water-flowing fractured zone of 53041 working face of this mine was determined as 51. 7 m by taking the coal mining of this face as the background and according to the ground borehole imaging observations;based on the actual strata data of the working face and through the analysis on the composition and structural characteristics of the seam roof and floor rock strata, the space development characteristics and development height of the water-flowing fractured zone after the slice mining of the thick seam were obtained by using FLAC3D numerical simulation, through the repeated calculations and correction and the analysis on the development characteristics of the seam roof water-flowing fractured zone;with the method by combining the site borehole imaging observation and numerical simulation, the height of the water-flowing fractured zone of the thick seam with slice mining was determined as 52 m, this research result provided an important reference basis for the improvement of the upper limit of coal mining under river and the reasonable retaining of the waterproof coal pillars.
