A New Hole-sealing Technology for Improving Gas Drainage Concentration by Boreholes

Abstract：To counter to the problem that the gas drainage concentration was low by boreholes, a new hole-sealing technology was proposed in this paper. The paper expounded the basic principle of the new hole-sealing technology and put forward the test method of reasonable hole-sealing depth. Industrial tests were carried out with this self-developed hole-sealing material for near two months in Yuyang Mine of Songzao Coal and Electricity Co. , Ltd. , the test results indicated that this new hole-sealing method can make the gas drainage concentration at the drilling site increase by 50% as compared to the traditional hole-sealing technology by grouting.
