Error Analysis of Separating Efficiency Test Method of Respirable Dust
ZHOU Ligao
Abstract:The accurate measurement of respirable dust concentration is the key to the prevention and treatment of pneumoconiosis. The separating efficiency is the core of the respirable dust sampler, but its measuring method is more complex and the measuring error may exist. Many factors may lead to the measuring error, the size of aerosol particles generated in the measuring process has the most direct influence on the measuring error. For this purpose, a mathematical relation between the error led by the influence factors such as the particle size and the measuring error of the separating efficiency was obtained according to BMRC curve and by using the total differential method. By modifying the values of flow rate and frequency and enhancing the volume concentration of solution higher than 0. 05%, the measuring error can be dropped lower than 1%. The separating efficiency of three sampling heads was measured, and the measuring data showed that this method can improve the reliability of the measuring results.
