Abstract:In this paper, study was made on the 3D seismic prospecting technique used in No. 2 district in Jiulongchuan Mine which was covered by the thick loess layer. According to the complex seismic-geological conditions in the loess tableland area and through a lot of tests, the parameters suitable for this loss tableland area were determined for data acquisition and the rational data processing program and parameters were chosen for data processing. The horizons were determined by the joint-well time section, the vertical and horizontal time sections were used to follow up the phase of the reflected wave and its variation characteristics. Further tests were done with the horizontal slices and layer flattening slices, repeated comparative analysis was carried out on the attribute of the seismic-geologic characteristics in the 3D space. Finally, it was found out by using the above techniques and methods that Jiulongchuan Mining Area was a north-west gently-inclined monocline structure, there were 7 reverse faults and 4 normal faults, the thickness of No. 6 coal seam was relatively constant but that of No. 8 seam changed greatly.
