Abstract：Rockbursts in coal mines are dynamic failure in the rock massaround a mine opening or excavation. Its mechanism is very complex. In recent years, much attention was paid to the study of time effect of rockburst. In this paper, the authors reviewed the recent advance and discussed the future trend of this field.
