Abstract:Objective: To review a case of bilateral double-segment Neidre-MacNab-ⅡB lumbosacral nerve root anomaly (LSNA) detected by volume CT scanning, and to re-examine the disease through literature review. Methods: Analyze and summarize the classification and characteristics of LSNA, the advantages and disadvantages of examination methods, and the treatment of LSNA, while reviewing relevant literature. Results: The patient underwent lumbar CT volume scanning reconstruction, which showed bilateral double-segment Neidre-MacNab-ⅡB type LSNA at L3-4 and L4-5 levels. After conservative treatment with medication and rest, the patient's symptoms were relieved, and there was no recurrence after a 5-month follow-up. Conclusion: Volume CT scanning can detect cases of bilateral double-segment Neidre-MacNab-ⅡB type LSNA, which can be classified as symptomatic or asymptomatic. With the broader application of volume CT in clinical practice, more LSNA malformations and their distribution patterns are expected to be discovered.
