Abstract:Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) is a non-invasive optical functional imaging system that can indicate relative changes in cerebral cortical oxygenation and resting-state brain functional imaging. In recent years, fNIRS has developed rapidly and has been applied in multiple disciplines. This paper reviews the progress of fNIRS in the vestibular field, summarizes the research on fNIRS and vestibular physiology and related symptoms, aiming to provide references for the future application of fNIRS in the study of vestibular diseases.
