Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application value of comprehensive nursing based on the feedforward control concept in the perioperative period for laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 100 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer at the Department of General Surgery of Chongming Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Health Sciences from April 1, 2022, to April 1, 2024, were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received comprehensive nursing based on the feedforward control concept. The nursing duration was 1 month. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The time to first anal排气 (flatus), the onset of gastrointestinal motility, and the time for bowel sounds to return to normal were shorter in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=10.834, 9.379, 14.874, P < 0.001 for all). After 1 month of nursing intervention, the levels of albumin, transferrin, and prealbumin in the observation group, as well as the scores in all dimensions of the Quality of Life Enjoyment Scale (psychological function, physical function, social function, and material living conditions), were higher than those in the control group (F=31.667–106.665, P < 0.001 for all). The incidence of complications in the observation group (4.00%) was lower than that in the control group (20.00%), and the patient satisfaction rate (94.00%) was higher than that in the control group (74.00%), with statistically significant differences (x2=6.061, 7.440, P=0.014, 0.006). Conclusion The comprehensive nursing intervention strategy guided by the feedforward control theory has a definite effect in accelerating the recovery of gastrointestinal function, optimizing nutritional status, reducing the incidence of complications, and improving the quality of life of patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer, and it also enhances patient satisfaction with nursing services.
