Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of structured guidance on perioperative treatment compliance and stress response in patients undergoing SMILE corneal refractive surgery. Methods A total of 200 patients (400 eyes) who underwent SMILE corneal refractive surgery at the Third Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from December 2022 to November 2023 were selected. According to the envelope double-blind randomization method, the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group, with 100 patients (200 eyes) in each group. The control group received routine ophthalmic nursing care, while the observation group received structured guidance. The perioperative treatment compliance, psychological stress response, and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the total score and scores of all dimensions of psychological stress response in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (t=8.342–18.852, P < 0.001). The good compliance rate and patient satisfaction rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (χ²=16.547, 22.222, P < 0.001), and the complication rate was lower in the observation group (χ²=11.966, P=0.001). Conclusion Structured guidance can effectively reduce the psychological stress response in patients undergoing SMILE corneal refractive surgery, improve treatment compliance, and is beneficial for visual recovery and patient satisfaction.
