Abstract:Objective: To explore the application value of emergency nursing process optimization measures in the rescue of patients with cardiac arrest. Methods: A total of 71 patients with cardiac arrest admitted to the Department of Emergency Medicine of No. 908 Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force of the People's Liberation Army from June 2021 to July 2023 were selected. Among them, 35 patients who received conventional emergency care were assigned to the control group, and 36 patients who received emergency nursing process optimization were assigned to the observation group. The effects of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and indicators such as arterial blood gas, mean arterial pressure, cerebral and cardiac function, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The time for spontaneous circulation, heart rhythm, and breathing recovery in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group (t=10.015, 6.838, 6.790, P < 0.001 for all). The arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while the arterial oxygen partial pressure and mean arterial pressure were higher (t=8.803, 6.959, 8.673, P < 0.001 for all). The levels of alpha-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide, creatine kinase isoenzyme, neuron-specific enolase, myelin basic protein, and central nervous system-specific protein in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (t=2.576–18.605, P < 0.001 or =0.013). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (x2=4.396, P=0.036). Conclusion: Optimizing the emergency nursing process during the rescue of patients with cardiac arrest can improve the effectiveness of CPR and is worth promoting and applying.
