Abstract:Objective To construct a training system for core competencies in biosecurity for nursing personnel in field infectious disease hospitals. Methods Based on a literature review and semi-structured interviews, an initial draft of the three-level training system ('training module - sub-module - training item') was formed. A two-round Delphi method was used to consult 16 experts, and the training content was revised and improved. Results The effective recovery rate of the expert questionnaires in both rounds was 100%, with expert authority coefficients of 0.878 for both rounds. The Kendall's coefficient of concordance for the experts were 0.346 and 0.290 (P < 0.001 for both). The final constructed training system for core biosecurity competencies of nursing personnel in field infectious disease hospitals includes five training modules: general knowledge of field infectious disease hospitals and military literacy, biosecurity knowledge and rescue skills, biosecurity protection capabilities, adaptability of nursing personnel under biological weapon attacks, and biosecurity defense combat capabilities for nursing personnel. It consists of 11 sub-modules and 47 specific training items. Conclusion The training system constructed in this study is reliable, scientific, and practical, and can provide a basis for cultivating the core biosecurity competencies of nursing personnel in field infectious disease hospitals in China.
