Abstract:Pelvic floor dysfunction is a non-life-threatening disease that seriously affects women's physical and mental health and quality of life. Pelvic floor ultrasound combined with clinical examination can provide diagnosis. The pathogenesis of pelvic floor dysfunction is multidimensional. Due to the special nature of their profession, female pilots face increased risks of pelvic floor dysfunction due to high g-load, long flight duration, and high intensity. This article reviews relevant research on pelvic floor function in female military personnel and special occupational groups, as well as advances in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. Pelvic rehabilitation therapy and pelvic floor muscle training can effectively promote recovery of pelvic floor function. For patients with urinary incontinence, at least 16 weeks of pelvic floor muscle training is the first-line treatment. It is essential to fully emphasize the education and prevention of pelvic floor dysfunction among female pilots. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to managing pelvic floor dysfunction. The purpose of this article is to enhance the awareness of pelvic floor health protection among female pilots, improve the pelvic floor function of this group, and enhance the combat effectiveness of the military.
