Abstract:Motion sickness seriously affects the normal work of personnel in maritime, land, and air-related industries, as well as the daily activities of most people, such as maritime, land, and air travel, virtual reality movie watching, and gaming. Currently, both domestic and international methods mainly use motion sickness history questionnaires, motion sickness symptom questionnaires, vestibular function-related indicators, and physiological indicators related to motion sickness symptoms to comprehensively assess and quantify an individual's susceptibility to motion sickness. However, there is still no established gold standard for evaluating susceptibility with high specificity and sensitivity. This paper reviews the research progress of subjective and objective evaluation methods in the assessment of motion sickness susceptibility, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for further research on motion sickness.
