Abstract:Objective: To analyze the status of abnormal items in annual physical examinations of grass-roots troops, and to provide reference for formulating targeted health intervention measures. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the physical examination data of 936 grass-roots troops from August 2023 to February 2024, and the detection rates and distribution characteristics of abnormal items in different age groups were statistically analyzed. Results: The top 10 abnormal items detected in the physical examinations of grass-roots troops were: indirect bilirubin abnormality, high BMI, bradycardia, fasting blood glucose abnormality, arrhythmia, high uric acid, total bilirubin abnormality, fatty liver, elevated absolute lymphocyte count, and refractive error. There were statistically significant differences in the detection rates of high BMI, fasting blood glucose abnormality, arrhythmia, high uric acid, fatty liver, and refractive error among grass-roots troops of different age groups (χ2=9.140–40.975, P < 0.05 for all). Conclusion: There are differences in the detection rates of abnormal items in physical examinations among grass-roots troops of different age groups. Regular health check-ups should be conducted for grass-roots troops, and targeted guidance should be provided to prevent the occurrence and development of various diseases, enhance their awareness of self-health management, change unhealthy lifestyle habits, appropriately increase physical training frequency, and improve the overall health level of grass-roots troops.
