Abstract:Objective To observe and analyze the effect of oral painless anesthesia and conventional syringe injection anesthesia in the treatment of elderly patients with dental extraction. Methods We selected 64 elderly patients with tooth extraction in our hospital. These patients were divided into the study group and control group according to treatment methods, with 32 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with traditional syringe injection anesthesia while those in the study group were treated with STA computer-controlled oral anesthesia. The clinical data of the two groups of patients was retrospectively analyzed. The pain degree and anesthetic effect were compared between the two groups. Results After the two groups of patients were anesthetized by different means, the SBP and DBP levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the HR level in the study group was higher, but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The VAS score and Kuttner score in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The results of anesthesia in the study group were excellent in 16 cases(50.00%)and moderate in 13 cases(40.63%).The total rate of excellence was 90.63%.In the control group, the anesthetic effect was excellent in 14 cases(43.75%),good in 12 cases(37.50%),so the total rate of good effect was 81.25% .There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The local anesthesia instrument of STA can not only alleviate pain, relieve facial pain expression, stabilize heart rate and blood pressure, but also keep the anesthetic effect as good as that of the traditional injection method, which is safe and worthy of clinical application.
