Abstract:Objective To enhance the load resistance ability of students in teenager aviation schools, evaluate the training results and improve training programs. Methods Students admitted to four teenager aviation schools were selected and their height, weight, neck circumference, chest circumference, upper-arm circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference, thigh circumference, grip strength of both hands and the number of push-ups were measured after one year of training. Their own data in two years was compared. Results Their chest circumference improved significantly (P<0.001). There was no significant change in their upper-arm circumference or thigh circumference (P>0.05). Their waist circumference improved significantly (P<0.05), so was their hip circumference (P<0.001). The neck circumference decreased slightly (P<0.001). The grip strength of both hands and number of push-ups were improved significantly (P<0.001), with the grip strength of the left hand improved by 10.3%, and that of the right hand by 11.0% and the number of push-ups by 56.0%. Conclusion The training programs have improved students' muscle strength significantly, and laid a solid foundation for improving the G-resistance ability of air force pilots in the future.
