Infections with Helicobacter pylori among a population during a medical examination

Abstract:Objective To investigate the Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infections in a particular population. Methods 13C urea breath test was carried out in a healthy population in 2015 to compare the positive rate in different age groups and genders. Results The positive rate was 34.19% in males and 33.37% in females. The rate was the highest among people aged 40 to 49. There was no signi cant difference between males and females in the same age group. Conclusion The infection rate of Hp is signi cantly lower in this population than in the general population. The awareness of health among the elderly is stronger than that of the middle-aged and young people.
