Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of heparin sodium injection and prednisone on serum IL-6, TNF-α and VEGF in children with nephrotic syndrome. Methods Sixty-two children with nephrotic syndrome admitted to our hospital between January 2015 and December 2016 were selected as subjects. They were equally divided into control group and observation group according to the time of diagnosis and treatment. Patients in the control group were treated with prednisone in addition to the routine treatment while the observation group was treated with heparin sodium injection plus the treatment for the control group. The levels of serum IL-6, TNF-α and VEGF in the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the adverse effects were compared. Results The total effective rate of the clinical group was significantly better than that of the control group (93.54% vs 74.19%) (P<0.05). The levels of IL-6 and VEGF in the two groups were significantly decreased after treatment (P<0.05). The levels of serum IL-6, TNF-α and VEGF in the observation group declined more significantly than those in the control group (P<0.05). No serious adverse reaction was detected between the two groups in the course of treatment. Conclusion The combination of heparin sodium injection with prednisone can effectively treat nephrotic syndrome by reducing the levels of serum IL-6, TNF-α and VEGF, and it is safe and worthy of clinical application.
