Abstract:Objective To investigate the characteristics and evolution of diseases among hospitalized military pilots between 2006 and 2015 in Northeast China, and to provide evidence for disease prevention and treatment. Methods The clinical data of 2035 military pilots hospitalized between 2006 and 2015 in Northeast China was retrospectively analyzed. A disease spectrum was established according to the international classification of diseases (ICD-10). Results The most prevalent five types of diseases among the hospitalized military pilots were lumbar disc disease, cervical spine and intervertebral disc disease, fracture or trauma, hypertension (and prehypertension), and enterogastritis. The top five departments involved were departments of orthopedics, gastroenterology, cardiology, genitourinary, and dermatology. Conclusion Sufficient attention should be paid to diseases of kinetic, circulatory, and digestive systems among military pilots in Northeast China.
