Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlations between TSH, TPOAb, IL-18 and TNF-α levels and their clinical significance for patients with ICP during the gestation period. Methods One hundred and twenty-six cases of ICP during the gestation period in our hospital were selected and divided into the mild group and severe group, with another 100 healthy persons as the control group. Levels of TSH, TPOAb, IL-18 and TNF-αl were detected, while the relationships between serum level, ICP and disease severity were observed.ResultsThis study showed that levels of TSH, TPOAb, IL-18 and TNF-α in the ICP group were higher than in the control group, and that the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Levels of TSH, TPOAb, IL-18 and TNF-α in the severe group were higher than in the mild group, and the difference was also statistically significant (P<0.05). Serum levels of TSH, TPOAb, IL-18 and TNF-α were significantly associated with the severity of ICP in these patients by Spearman rank correlation, and there was a positive correlation between them. Conclusion Serum TSH, TPOAb, IL-18 and TNF-α levels not only are significantly increased in ICP patients, but tend to increase gradually with the ICP status, They can serve as effective indicators of progression of ICP patients.
