Abstract:Objective To investigate the factors that affect the clinical prognosis of patients with multidrugresistant Acinetobacter baumannii (MDR-AB) infections and to explore the independent risk factors for patients. Methods Strains of K.pneumoniae were identified and drug susceptibility testing was carried out to identify patients infected by MDR-AB. The clinical data of patients with MDR-AB infections treated between January and December 2015 in the Air Force General Hospital was analyzed retrospectively. Results A total of 72 patients were identified as MDR-AB infections. The age of patients (P=0.006), previous use of immunosuppression (P=0.001), levels of procalcitonin (PCT) (P=0.001) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)(P=0.048) proved to be factors that affected the prognosis of MDR-AB patients. The age of patients, previous use of immunosuppression and LDH were independent risk factors for the prognosis of MDR-AB patients. ConclusionPatients with MDR-AB infections are prone to bad outcomes and a high mortality. The age of patients, previous use of immunosuppression and LDH are independent risk factors for the prognosis of MDR-AB patients.
