Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of tegafur-gimeracil-oteracil and docetaxel on HER2, VEGF and CA72-4 of patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC).Methods Eighty-six cases with MBC treated in our hospital between July 2012 and September 2013 were selected. They were equally divided into observation group and control group according to drug therapy. Observation group was given tegafur-gimeracil-oteracil and docetaxel, while control group (n=43) was given capecitabine and docetaxel. The clinical effect, PFS, adverse reactions and influence on HER2, VEGF, CA72-4 were compared between the two groups. Results Total clinical effect of control group was lower than that of observation group (46.5% vs 74.4%) (P<0.05). PFS of observation group was higher than that of control group (P<0.01). The decline of HER2, VEGF-A, VEGF-C, CA72-4 of observation group was more significant than that of control group (P<0.05), but CA72-4 did not change significantly in control group after treatment (P>0.05). No severe adverse reactions occurred in either group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion Tegafur-gimeracil-oteracil combined with docetaxel is more effective for treating MBC by improving HER2, VEGF and CA72-4 levels and PFS. It is safer and worthy of popularization.
