Clinical data about different type of disease, age group and the medical assessment were collected. The grounding rate was compared between different diseases and age groups.ResultsThe top three disorders by third class encoding diagnosis were depression without psychosis symptoms, dysthymia, and adjustment disorder. The age of pilots with metal disorders ranged from 31 to 40. Fighter pilots accounted for the highest proportionamong hospitalized patients while transport pilots were the majority among disqualified patients.ConclusionThe cure rate of pilots with mental disorders is low while the rate of disqualification is high, so more vigorous psychological assessment should be performed in the process of screening pilots. Psycho-education should be frequently carried out, and timely intervention is necessary.
