Abstract:To study the management of US Air Force pilots medical examination, and to improve and to benefit our pilot cadet selection quality in spite of the differences between China and America. US medical standards of recruiting student pilots were reviewed, and the characteristics of its procedures, requirements, recording and medical standards for medical examinations given by the US Air Force were summarised. The management of US Air Force pilots medical examination was highly efficient, including the general information and administrative procedures, responsibilities, medical examination for flying and special operational duty, medical clearance for joint operations or exchange tours, examination and certification of ARC members not on EAD, mobility standards and deployment criteria, rules and regulations, etc. Compared to our standards, the US medical standards are more consummate, subtle. We can rectify our medical standards and flow sheet by referring to the American.
