Abstract:Objective To study the effect of pulp revascularization on the biological characteristics of dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)and periodontal ligament stem cells(PDLSCs)in the root tissue of young permanent dog teeth through delayed tooth replantation. Methods 1 dog with immature teeth aged approximately 6 months was selected. DPSCs and PDLSCs were isolated and cultured from the same teeth and examined by flow cytometry. The cell proliferation was observed by clone formation and MTT assay.ResultsThe DPSCs and PDLSCs of miniature dogs were positive for Stro-l, CD29, CD90, and CD146 while negative for CD45. There was no significant difference between two kinds of cell in proliferation activity and clone formation rate(P>0.05), and the mineralized nodules of PDLSCs was significantly higher than DPSCs(P<0.05).Conclusion PDLSCs and DPSCs were found in the new tissue of the pulp revascularization. Its long-term effect mechanism, biology, human tissue, the mechanism of molecular biology and possible adverse effects still need to be researched for clinical application in the future.
