Abstract:Objective To analyze and investigate elderly patients norepinephrine guide rational drug use behavior after the value of therapeutic drug monitoring of vancomycin. Methods A total of 80 cases of patients with pneumonia in our hospital from August 2013 to August 2014 were divided into two groups according to age : the older group had 50 cases, the young group had 30 cases. Patients were given intravenous vancomycin treatment monitoring its blood concentration after 3 d, and mode of administration and dose adjustment based on monitoring results to guide rational drug use behavior. Serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels in patients were compared before and after the adjustment. Results Changes in plasma concentration after norvancomycin had a difference between the elderly patients and young patients(P<0.05). The serum creatinine and urine nitrogen levels were stabilizing after the mode of administration and dosage adjustment. Conclusion In the course of elderly patients to vancomycin for treatment, the use of therapeutic drug monitoring can effectively guide clinical rational use of drugs to reduce the damage caused by the drug to the patient.
