Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the efficacy and safety of using phloroglucinol with oxytocin in full-term pregnancy induced labor.MethodsUsing randomized double-blind and controlled study ways, 204 pregnant women who got middle and lower cervical score of full-term pregnancy were randomly divided into 2 groups: Observation group, of which 102 cases were performed induced labor by phloroglucinol with oxytocin, and control group, of which 102 cases were performed induced labor by intravenous drip of oxytocin.ResultsThe cervix expansion speed of observation group was obviously faster than the control group (P<0.05). The first stage of labor and total labor time was significantly less than the control group (P<0.01). Vaginal births were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance contrasting the time of second and three stage of labor, Apgar scores, birth weight, and postpartum hemorrhage after 2 hours (P>0.05). There were no adverse outcomes with mother and baby.ConclusionThe phloroglucinol with oxytocin could be more effective in promoting cervical ripening, significantly shortening the production process and increasing the chance of vaginal delivery. The effect was better than the simple application of oxytocin. And the drug was safe, worth popularizing in obstetrics .
