Abstract:Objective We aimed to evaluate the clinical effect of treatment of sequestered lumbar disk hernation(SLDH) with Feng’s spinal manipulation. Methods 112 patients(52 male,60 female) were treated by Feng’s spinal manipulation. The clinical outcome was evaluated by combining the JOA (Japanese Orthopaedic Association) score and Feng’s spinal assessment system for SLDH. MRI sagittal index(SI)of lumbar disk hernation between pre-treatmet and post- treatment and between pre-treatment and follow-up was compared. Result The scoring of patients’subjective and clinical symptoms were improved obviously before discharge as well as follow-up(P<0.05). There was no statistical difference of SI between pre-treatment and post-treatment.There has significant difference of SI between pre-treatment and follow-up. Conclusion The leading pathologic change of SLDH is the single/multiple vertebral subluxation. Feng’spinal manipulation can correct the vertebral subluxation, and increase the spinal column's stability.
