Abstract:Objective To investigate the Connexin 43 (Cx43) expression changes of normal and ischemic rabbits after repeated and prolonged positive acceleration (+Gz) exposure. Methods A total of 60 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into control group A, acceleration group B, ischemia group C, ischemia and acceleration group D, with each group of 15 rabbits. Positive acceleration exposure conditions: starting from +8 Gz, with growing rate of about 0.5 G /s, at the peak lasting one min, with intervals of 3 min, a total being 3 times, once a day, which lasted for one week. After the experiment, the left ventricular myocardium were taken for Western blot to detect changes in the gap junction protein Connexin 43 expression. Results Western blot results showed that: compared with the control group, the ventricular myocytes reduction levels of Connexin 43 from low degree to high degree are as follows: acceleration group, ischemia group, acceleration and ischemia group. Conclusion The reduction of Connexin 43 may be involved in the mechanism of myocardial ischemia arrhythmias induced by acceleration.
